Will Taylor was born breech, with Aquarius rising, on the Aires-Pisces cusp on March 22, 1951 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduate work in marine biology, and for reasons not yet fully explained, Will attended medical school at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont (1979-1983), followed by a family practice residency at St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (1983-1986). A painful case of shingles brought him to the care of a colleague who was studying homeopathy, and the resulting miraculous cure inspired him to study homeopathy, initially for the care of his own family. Homeopathy gradually took over his professional practice, as his patients implored him to "treat me like you'd treat your family."

After many years of private practice in downeast Maine, will moved west in 2002 to fill the position of chair of homeopathic medicine at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. He has previously taught at The School of Homeopathy New York, and has lectured in North America and Europe, including teaching a 3-year postgraduate program in the Czech Republic and summerschools in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
