Curriculum Vitae

• Born in 1954 in Freistadt, Upper Austria, grammar school in Linz, study of medicine in Vienna. From 1985 private practice in Vienna focusing on complementary medicine and in the beginning also on body centered psychotherapy.
  
• At the start my medical focus was on Chinese medicine and from 1989 this has been supplemented by homeopathy, which soon became my main therapeutic method, because it fascinated me most and had the broadest spectrum of applicability.
• In homeopathy I soon also turned to research and supervised numerous remedy provings (Mater perlarum, Kalium sulphurcum, Natrium phosphoricum, Vipera berus, Formica rufa, Vespa crabro, Magnesium bromatum, Magnesium iodatum, Salvia officinarum, Carboneum sulphuratum, Samarium metallicum, Gadolynium metallicum). Several publications appeared in "Documenta Homoeopathica", "Homoeopathic Links", "Zeitschrift für klassische Homöopathie", and "Homöopathie in Österreich". Lectures at congresses of the “Liga Homoeopathica Medicorum Internationalis” (LHMI) and annual meetings of the ÖGHM [Austrian Society for Homeopathic Medicine].
• Since 1995 I am member of the team of referees of the ÖGHM, from 1996-1998 and since 2006 I am vice president of the ÖGHM.
  
• From 1989-1999 I was also working in the "Department for alternative and complementary medicine" of the Austrian Medical Chamber.
• But I am not just a doctor and a homeopath, but also a human being, who is able to enjoy the beautiful sides of life. I love good food and excellent wine, never say no to a good cigar, enjoy exercise in nature, either riding a bike, jogging, or in the mountains, which I love very much.
  
  HIÖ - Question: Why did you start your postgraduate study in homeopathy?
  
  Because I was looking for a medical field of therapy with the help of which a great number of diseases could be treated successfully. At that time I already had been using complementary medicine, but I was not content with the therapeutic methods I had at my disposal.
  
  HIÖ - Question: Did homeopathy fulfill your expectations?
  
  Yes, indeed! To the fullest! Personally I can’t imagine any better therapy.
  
  HIÖ - Question: Which was your most beautiful experience in everyday practice?
  
  It always was patients which were able with the help of homeopathy to live a completely different life compared to the one they could live with their disease. When the possibilities to shape their life where being expanded, when they were able to live things, that weren’t possible before.
  
  HIÖ - Question: Your message to future homeopaths?
  
  Homeopathy is a demanding method! To learn it, you need certain perseverance, determination and the will to overcome your own doubts. But if you pursuit this path consequently, you will be rewarded a hundredfold.
